Designing a Killer Games Room

Designing a Killer Games Room

Now that swimming season has come to a close, it’s time to look for indoor fun. If playing “Go Fish” at the dining room table or trying to cram your friends into the living room to watch the next big Cowboys game just isn’t cutting it anymore, you need – and deserve – a killer games room.

The only limit is your imagination when it comes to designing the perfect games room. Do you want a man cave with a custom bar and sports memorabilia lining the walls? A kid-friendly hangout zone with air hockey and foosball tables? The choice is up to you, but we think these are “must-have” items in any killer games room:

Raise the Bar

There’s a difference between a killer games room and a boring basement with an aged dart board and folding card table…but what is it? A bar, of course! No matter the size or layout of your space, we can help you find a bar and barstool combination that elevates the look and function of the space. We have a great selection of bar furniture from designer brands, including Canadian-made high quality furnishings that will turn heads. Come into the showroom for a peek at some of the eye-catching options available to you.

Ultimate Poker Party

We don’t provide the beer or the Buffalo wings, but we have everything else you could possibly need to host the ultimate poker party. From specialized poker tables to custom casino chip sets and myriad poker accessories (yes, even the “Dogs Playing Poker” poster), we’ll get you set up. You just work on your bluffing, leave the rest to Purewater.

Games Tables

Billiards tables are certainly the focal point of many killer games room, or the room can include air hockey, foosball, table tennis, rod-hockey, and more. Unfortunately, not every games room can accommodate a billiards table. The general rule of thumb is that not only does the room need to be large enough to accommodate the table, you also need twice the length of the cue clearance around the entire table. Bring us your measurements and we’ll figure out an option that works for your home.

Décor

Finally, what really separates a killer games room from a room in the basement that just happens to have dart board shoddily hung on the wall is the décor. When you walk into a killer games room, you immediately feel a transformation in atmosphere. Visit our showroom to browse our collection of signs, lighting, statuettes and quirky accessories to suit any games room theme.

No matter what sparks your interest, Purewater Total Home Leisure has you covered. Come into the Purewater store and browse our showroom and get recommendations from our friendly staff. Are you ready to deck out your games room?
