Summer took a while to arrive this year, but we’ve had some glorious days of warm weather and sunny skies. We hope everyone has had ample opportunity to enjoy their pool, and that we have weeks of summer fun ahead. The season is far from over, and we always advise that you try and keep the pool running as late into the fall as conveniently possible, both to take advantage of nice weekends ahead and to keep the water circulating as long as possible. A pool heater is a great way to extend the season! Regardless of when you close, it is never a bad thing to plan ahead! Purewater had an exceptionally busy spring and summer, so booking early is the BEST way to guarantee your first choice of closing dates, lock down any optional services needed, and make sure you get the biggest possible discount by bundling and prepaying for services!
Pool closing can be a messy, challenging, and even a risky process. We appreciate your trusting Purewater, one of few pool service companies that de-chlorinate pool water when we pump down your pool, ensuring compliance with City of Ottawa and Ministry of the Environment regulations. Knowing that your closing was done right will protect your valuable investment, as a pool closed properly makes start up next spring nice and easy.
All closing services listed below are based on the water being balanced and clean before we arrive, i.e. the pool must be properly maintained right up until closing time. If you wish, you can book additional services such as cleaning or maintenance if you want Purewater to take care of these preparations. We strongly recommend that you keep your circulation system running until closing time to help keep the water clean and clear. Visit Purewater with a water sample a week before your scheduled closing for a free analysis, which will ensure you can correct any issues with the water balance. A pool closed with clean, clear, well balanced water will be easier to start up in Spring.
Select the service(s) you are interested in below; start with the standard closing, which winterizes the mechanical systems (the “tricky” part of pool closing). If you pump-down the water level and / or install the tarp yourself, you can choose this economical option alone. As these can be messy jobs, add them on if desired. Remember to add in the Purewater winter chemical kit if you need it, and check off any extra services you require. If you have questions feel free to book directly with the service office at 613-726-0099 X 190, Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM.
